17 year old Harriotte Lane from Newcastle was crowned Miss Teen Galaxy England at the UK Galaxy Pageants 10th anniversary! Get to know Harriotte by reading her interview below!
What made you want to enter the UK Galaxy Pageants?
After competing in other Pageant Girl UK competitions, I wanted to try Galaxy as I just loved the feeling of being part of the pageant family.
What did you do to prepare for the final?
From having fun picking dresses, working on my personal health and fitness to doing some amazing appearances, I loved all the aspects of preparing for the finals. I loved making the most of my regional title and getting out in the community.
What is the best thing about being a Galaxy Girl?
Definitely the friendships! I’ve made the most amazing friendship that I know will last a lifetime.
Who is your inspiration?
When I first started out it was Victoria Tooby, I met her at The Dress Studio when trying on dresses. She was so beautiful, kind and confident, at 13 she was everything I wanted to be. These days so many beauty queens past and present inspire me but my number one will always be my Mum.
What part of the international Galaxy Pageants in Orlando are you most excited about?
All of it! I can’t wait to be there with the team, we’ve already got an amazing bond and the group chat is crazy! I know we will be making some incredible memories together.

Do you have any exciting plans/appearances organised for your year as a Galaxy queen?
I’m hoping to smash £50,000 on my fundraising this year and I also want to expand the reach of the North East Pageant Network.
When you aren’t busy being a beauty queen, what do you do in your free time? Do you have any hobbies?
I love my PJs and just chilling but Always happier being on the go and most of my social life revolves round pageants and those friendship groups.
What advice would you give to girls who are thinking about entering the UK Galaxy Pageants?
Do it! It’s the best thing I ever did. If you met the 13-year-old shy and anxious Harriotte, you would never believe I would be the happy confident person I am today. Pageants are great for so many reasons but for me I’m forever grateful for the confidence, self-esteem and friendships it gave me.
